A term for significant involvement of the pelvic floor by malignancy, usually carcinoma, or tuberculosis; in which there is a massive extension of pathology to the urinary bladder, female genital tract, and sigmoid colon. Adequate resection of a frozen pelvis is viually impossible; chemotherapy and radiation therapy are palliatives at best(Refer: Mohindra's Fundamentals of Ohopedics, 2nd edition, pg no. 300)
