Leber's optic neuropathy-

Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy is a mitochondrial disorder. Since mitochondrial DNA is exclusively derived from mothers, males do not transmit the disease. The optic disc becomes pale and atrophic in late atrophic phase (not early).
