Following an incised wound in the front of the wrist, the subject is unable to oppose the tips of the little finger and the thumb. The nerve (s) involved is/are -

The patient has an inability in opposing little finger (paralysis of opponents digiti minimi) and opposing thumb (paralysis of opponents pollicis). So, both ulnar and median nerve are paralysed. In isolated single nerve palsy the muscle supplied by intact nerve can cause opposition of thumb and little finger. For example in isolated ulnar nerve palsy, opponents policies will cause opposition of thumb to the little finger, while in isolated median nerve paralysis, opponents digit minimi will cause opposition of little finger upto the thumb.
