Indications for surgical treatment of gynecomastia includes: gynecomastia persisting for long duration, psychologic or cosmetic problems, continued growth, tenderness or suspicion of malignancy. Surgical treatment of choice in such cases includes simple liposuction with minimal glandular resection through a periareolar incision as necessary.
