Lungs show sub pleural patchy hemorrhage in the ear ,often in the line of ribs ,rupture of alveolar septa & bullae at the margins .Desquamated alveolar & bronchial epithelium is seen lying free. This causes reactive pulmonary edema & blood stained froth is found in air passages & later bronchopneumonia .this is called blast lung .
