Infectious cause of Erythematous rashes are seen in

(A) Measles # Characteristic erythematous, nonpruritic, maculopapular rash of measles begins at the hairline and behind the ears, spreads down the trunk and limbs to include the palms and soles, and often becomes confluent. At this time, the patient is at the most severepoint of the illness. By the fourth day, the rash begins to fade in the order in which it appeared. Early physical findings of enteric fever include rash ("Rose Spots"), hepatosplenomegaly, epistaxis, and relative bradycardia. Rose spots make up a faint, salmon-colored, blanching, Maculopapular rash located primarily on the trunk and chest. The rash is evident in 30% of patients at the end of the first week and resolves after 2 to 5 days without leaving a trace. Patients can have two or three crops of lesions, and Salmonella can be cultured from punch biopsies of these lesions. The faintness of the rash makes it difficult to detect in dark-skinned patients. Rashes are not generally a symptom of malaria, but they may appear in some cases, such as in acute falciparum malaria. A classical urticaria (dark red, itchy bumps) or itchy papular rash (round bumps usually 0.5 inches in diameter) may appear.
