The current global strategy for malaria control is called -

- Roll back malaria was launched in year 1998 by WHO, UNICEF, UNDP and world bank. - with the publication in 2005, of the Roll back malaria global strategic plan for 2005-2015, WHO and RBM set targets to be achieved by the year 2010 and 2015. The goal is to reduce the number of malaria cases and death recorded in 2000 by 50percent or more by the end of 2010 and by 75percent or more by 2015.
