Drug of choice for MRSA

Methicillin was the first compound developed to combat resistance due to Penicillinase production by staphylococci. MRSA become common nowadays resistant not only to Penicillin but to all other beta-lactam antibiotics. vancomycin is the drug of choice for MRSA.
