A rigid or a flexible nasopharyngoscope is also useful to see details of the nasopharynx in a cooperative child. Soft tissue lateral radiograph of nasopharynx will reveal the size of adenoids and also the extent to which nasopharyngeal air space has been compromised . Detailed nasal examination should always be conducted to exclude other causes of nasal obstruction. Structures visualised in Posterior Rhinoscopy (a) Laterally Eustachian tube opening is seen on the posterior end of the inferior turbinate. (b) Medically, Posterior end of middle, inferior and superior turbinates and posterior pa of septum. (c) Inferiorly end posterior surface of the soft palate. (d) Rosenmullers fossa is seen behind the Eustachian tube. Ref- Dhingra 6th edition, pg no. 244
