Amyloidosis is the extracellular deposition of insoluble polymeric protein fibrils. This disorder is due to misfolding of proteins. Eg: Alzheimer's disease and other neurodegenerative diseases, Transmissible prion diseases, Ceain of the cystic fibrosis mutations.
