2. Cell Rich Zone (Zone of HOHL)
Most numerous cells are fibroblasts
Fibroblasts secrete Type I and Type III collagen
Also contains undifferentiated mesenchymal stem cells.
Vascular supply is extensive and more than cell free zone and odontoblast zone.
