Clinical Presentation Neonates First few weeks of life Otherwise healthy children and adults Suspected in all neonates presenting with: Delayed passage of meconium beyond the first 24 hours of lifeQ Abdominal distension following feedsQ Suspected in any child presenting in first few weeks of life with: Gross abdominal distensionQ Chronic constipationQ Failure to thriveQ Sho segment Hirschprung disease should be suspected in otherwise healthy children and adultsQ presenting with: Severe constipation without fecal soilingQ Faecal soiling is usually not a feature of this condition. Investigation of choice - Rectal Biopsy (Suction Biopsy > full Thickness Biopsy)
