Muscle which helps in protrusion and upper movement of tongue is?

Genioglossus is a fan shaped bulky muscle which originates from the genial tubercle of mandible. Its upper fibers are inseed to tip of tongue(retraction) Its middle fibers are inseed to dorsum.
