Lymphoblast: PAS positive. Myeloblast: Sudan black, myeloperoxidase and non-specific esterase.  “MPO is specific for myeloid differentiation. Sudan Black B reactivity is similar to MPO in myeloblasts and monoblasts. The specificity of Sudan Black is less than MPO.”
