Polymer fume fever results from inhalation of gases produced by burning of polytetrafluoroethylene (Teflon). It is similar in presentation to metal fume fever, with sho-term, flu-like symptoms of sore throat, fever, shivering, and weakness. Require only symptomatic treatment.
