This definition includes smallhemorrhages confined to minor ischemic areas in grey matter as well as much larger lesions involving coical and deep hemispheric regions. Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is the presence of thrombosis in the dural vein, which occurs when a blood clot forms in the brain's venous sinus that prevents blood from draining out of the brain . Patients with venous sinus thrombosis have a variety of symptoms . Venous hemorrhagic infarction (VHI) is presented as a severe form of clinical symptom and a poor prognostic factor of CVST .
