Hirsutism, is defined as androgen-dependent excessive male-pattern hair growth, it affects approximately 10% of women. Endocrine causes of hirsuitism includes congenital adrenal hyperplasia, adrenal neoplasms, cushing's syndrome, hyperprolactinemia and acromegaly. Hypehyroidism is not associated with hirsuitism.
