Hemorrhagic Meningitis, also sometimes known as Anthrax Meningitis, occurs when anthrax is inhaled. Bacillus anthracis spreads through the bloodstream from the primary focus of infection causing the Hemorrhagic Meningitis. Ref Harrison20th edition pg 2456
