What is an agonal aifact in medico-legal pathological findings?

Agonal Aifact is a postmoem aefact which may occur immediately or sholy after death. Agonal infarct refers to any change or feature introduced into the body after death that is likely to lead to misinterpretation of medico-legally significant antemoem findings. The autopsy pathologist should be able to distinguish them from significant antemoem changes. Regurgitation and aspiration of gastric contents is a common agonal aefact.
